Los Angeles is home to more than 40,000 homeless men, women, and children (LAHSA, homeless count, 2015), many of who are food insecure. We believe that every person deserves to have food and hygiene supplies regardless of their housing status.

We will assemble bags of supplies to provide resources to these homeless individuals to contribute to their efforts to meet their basic needs. Our goal is to make an impact in our community by providing items that may be difficult for individuals to acquire when they lack permanent housing, such as first aid, feminine hygiene products, condoms, and a range of foods to meet a number of nutritional needs.

Along with reusable backpacks, some of the items we strive to include in our bags are:

  • Healthy nonperishable snack foods (bars, applesauce, trail mix, crackers with peanut butter) We always need additional snacks for people with dental problems and diabetic diets

  • Water

  • Socks

  • Adult diapers

  • Menstrual pads

  • Condoms

  • First aid supplies

  • Diapers for infants

  • Sunscreen

  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste

  • Combs

  • Emergency blankets

  • Additional items many of us use on a daily basis
